They caught sight of him a few nights ago. Nobody knows exactly who he is nor where he comes from.
Usually he appears in the middle of the night. He breaks up the peace of sleep with a deep, saturated, broken shout from which is impossible to defend. He is commonly known as “The Moster”.
No one can escape his words. His sentence points to those men who forget their own need in the name of fake idols promising a better way of life, but actually getting it worse.
They say he screams to remind eveyone how they came to life: crying out. He tells to his victims the importance of simple things.
Can a newborn be so conscious? Which is the mistery behind this enigmatic character?
Is he acting alone or is he on behalf of somebody else?
Investigators are screening evidences of witnesses who heard the frightening White Screamed Shout, but they don’t hazard any hypothesis, until now.
It’s an ultra-rhythmic electro punk aggression, with bass frequences cabable to crush the listener’s chest while sharp guitars remind to Nine Inch Nails’ Fragile case.
It looks like a long, rugged road. The mistery of The White Screamed Shout doesn’t seem to have any solution. So far.

As a listener, I love many kind of music and I am always curious to discover new sounds. As a dj, I am specialized in Black Music (Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk) and Crossover. As a producer, I am the result of anything I listen to, synthetised into electronic styles.

I am now working on a new project called “Teenage Reconstruction” to tribute my favourite Hip Hop artists of the Golden Age: Redman, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, Krs-1, Wu-Tang Clan It to be released in 2011. I am taking inspiration from their lyrics to create music around them, giving a new personal twist. This is the first single, my remix of Redman’s “Funkorama”.

“Feeling Good” is a classic song by Nina Simone, but strangely I heard it for the first time a few years ago, when I was on holiday at the seaside. Well, maybe I noticed for the first time.

As the song started to play, I was hit by a handful of paradoxal feelings that I still remember: Despite the fact she was singing about her good sensation, there was pain and sufference in the voice.

I loved immediately that ambiguous expressivity, and I was attracted to explore it somehow. I decided to remix that tune.

I visualized a dark and dirty, strong version with an important rhythm pace and an obsessive acid synth riff, to be enshroud by her smooth, warm voice.

It was 2007 and Jeanine Moss was one singer involved in Rubedo Stone recordings. At that time she had just moved from New York to London, and we wanted to record something new together. When the Spring arrived, I went to London with a usb driver full of recordings. One-shot ideas, mostly drum loops.

Jeanine said we could record her voice in her flat, but she had no gear at all to do it. I called my friend Ukpong a.k.a. Mr. Anderson and ask him some help. He was involved in Rubedo Stone recordings as well. I know him from a long time, we always shares our passion for music production and I was confident he would find a fast, do-it-yourself solution. He picked up some little gear and we went to Jeanine’s house in the South of London. As we arrived we entered a dark, weird place: a kind of labyrinthic courtyard surrounded by many levels of walls and stairs, populated only by few cats disguising with the background. I cannot remember a recording session with Jeanine without cats wandering around…we both must have some kind of link with cats. There was a magic atmosphere, it looked like a little box in the middle of a hectic world and I was exciting to record a new song in there.

The session happened in Jeanine’s room. Ukpong turned over his rucksack on her bed and started to link tangled up wires and push tiny buttons. He had this little recorder with a good quality, a mic and some old headphones that was just enough for her to hear the beat. It was the first time Jeanine listened to those beats and had no idea at all about the lyrics. She chose one and asked: “What should I sing about”? Ukpong answered: “You should just do as you do”.

We are in a world controlled by the mind of a Mad Doctor, where survivors are forced to live underground in shelter of “noise killing machines” scattered around woods, rivers and valleys by the Doctor’s Mind. Population put up resistance and two soldiers are charged by the command to exit into the world and look for the machines to take off some bits and analyse them in the subterranean laboratory. Unfortunately the Doctor’s mind is omnipresent and soon a simple mission becomes a tragedy…

Protocollo 77 is a sci-fi short film made in Italy in September 2010 which is in finalization stage at the moment. The project is realized by the cultural association NEDAC (http://www.nedac.it) in collaboration with Controllo Zeta.

The soundtrack features italian composer Marticus and its Useless Devices: it is a trip into classical sci-fi horror movies of the 70s and will be released soon by the label Ginotonico Production
